Introduction

This site follows schools through the PYP exhibition. It aims to:

help teachers and administrators understand the nature of a PYP exhibition
give support and guidance on how to undertake a PYP exhibition
provide an opportunity to see how other schools have tackled the exhibition.

The sample exhibitions have been adapted and are organized under guiding questions from the PYP planner. However, teachers should remember that they do not have to approach the stages of the exhibition in this order. The samples are not intended to be prescriptive but should be seen as a celebration of the diversity of PYP schools around the world.

Navigating the site

There are nine samples available on the site – schools A, B and C from 2004-2005, schools D, E and F from 2005-2006 and schools G, H and I from 2006-2007. The table on the right allows you to view any of the samples at any stage of the exhibition. You can follow one school through the process or look at how each school approached a particular stage. Use the arrows on each page to move back and forward or return to the table by clicking on the icon below:

The guidelines in the far right column of the table are taken from the PYP exhibition guidelines published in July 2008. You can view the guidelines for each stage of the process while you are looking at the samples by clicking on the icon below:

Developing the site

Please note that the guiding questions used as a navigation tool for this exhibition site are taken from the planner published in 2005. They are similar to the questions on the revised planner published in Making the PYP Happen: a curriculum framework for international primary education (2007) and remain relevant to the PYP exhibition.
